Persona26
Persona26 extends Independent Analytics by adding visitor identity, behavioural profiling, and content personalisation to WordPress websites.
At its core, the plugin creates a persistent visitor identity that exists beyond a single browser session. It tracks engagement over time, builds a lightweight profile of visitor interests, and enables websites to adapt content based on those interests.

Core features include persistent visitor IDs, identity mapping into Independent Analytics, engagement dimensions, visitor profiles stored in the browser, content alignment metadata, body classes for segmentation, and front-end personalisation that shows or hides content based on a visitor’s inferred interests.
The design philosophy is intentionally practical. Persona26 is not trying to become a Customer Data Platform (CDP) or enterprise personalisation engine. Instead, it brings the most useful concepts from those systems into WordPress in a lightweight, privacy-conscious way.
For most websites, that is more than enough.
Very few organisations need real-time AI personalisation, complex identity graphs, or enterprise marketing clouds. What they do need is a way to understand visitor interests, tailor content, and create more relevant experiences without introducing significant cost or complexity. Persona26 delivers those capabilities using WordPress and Independent Analytics, making personalisation accessible to websites that would otherwise never justify a larger platform investment.
## 0.7.7 - 2026-09-29
- Allow exact tracked CPT query parameters with published post slugs to select a dimension value.
- After normal page increments, raise each selected counter to its dimension maximum plus one and sync the persona, localStorage, cookie and body classes.
- Preserve other counters; ignore invalid selections and skip query updates for persona=get and persona=clear.
## 0.7.4 - 2026-09-12
- Convert saved JSON definitions, post-type dropdown choices and serialized ACF location rules and taxonomy assignments.
- Migrate AIOSEO post-type selections and WP Engine cache post-type dictionaries.
- Move Content Planner plan option names, XP pattern keys and pattern metadata to mapped post types, protecting existing destination plans.
- Skip references to deleted records, retain valid selections and report the skipped count without blocking migration.
- Preserve taxonomy identifiers, original relationship metadata and exact rollback data.
## 0.7.6 - 2026-09-26
- Lower the PHP requirement to 7.4, matching WordPress 7.0.
- Allow the PHP 7.4-compatible TN Update Controller bootstrap.
## 0.7.5 - 2026-09-26
- Require WordPress 7.0+ and PHP 8.5+ for this release.
- Replace the independent GitHub updater with the version 1 TN Update Controller integration.
- Add local Install/Activate/Check controller actions and standardise Techn author/repository metadata.
- Preserve plugin identity, feature code, settings and activation scope; no feature-plugin release discovery runs during page rendering.
## 0.7.3 - 2026-09-12
- Focus migration on saved site configuration; remove source-file scanning and its commit blockers.
- Group missing profiling scope by content type and add an explicit wizard action to include detected types.
- Retain revision and orphaned relationship metadata without requiring profiling or modifying historical tags.
- Accept legacy IDs already belonging to their mapped destination post type and identify missing or mismatched IDs precisely.
- Translate verified Duplicate Post and Relevanssi post-type options, and regenerate WordPress rewrite rules instead of treating their cache as a blocker.
- Include option names and reference excerpts in remaining blockers; refresh routes after the source plugin stops loading.
## 0.7.2 - 2026-09-12
- Removed the fixed 4 MiB migration snapshot ceiling.
- Store recovery snapshots as compressed, non-autoloaded database chunks with integrity verification.
- Preserve atomic commit and rollback when a snapshot chunk cannot be written or read.
- Continue reading existing migration snapshots and check available PHP memory before encoding or restoring larger ones.
## 0.7.1 - 2026-09-12
- Moved legacy destination mapping and its independent save action into Migrate Wizard.
- Kept recovery on the wizard tab after Personas deactivation while a committed snapshot exists.
- Fixed mapping field alignment with paired labels and responsive columns.
- Fixed migration simulation on SQL NULL metadata, preserving those values through commit and rollback.
- Kept migration actions on the wizard tab and invalidated stale previews after mapping changes.
## 0.7.0 - 2026-09-12
- Added Migrate Wizard when the original Personas plugin is active on the current site, including network activation.
- Added legacy destination mappings in Dimensions, outside the wizard.
- Added read-only migration previews, explicit atomic commits, retained recovery snapshots and conflict-aware rollback after legacy deactivation.
- Preserved post IDs and original tags; merged both legacy relationship layouts into Persona26 targets and maintained ID-based compatibility fields for existing block queries and ACF.
- Added context-aware block, template, navigation and serialized metadata/options reference conversion. Unknown references and hard-coded active-code consumers block commit.
- Added migration integration coverage, SQL-failure recovery and responsive keyboard-accessible wizard screens.
